Baby Fever!

Seems like everyone is having a baby these days! This is one of the pre-baby cards I've been working on recently. If you don't know what the shape of this card is supposed to be, it's a "baby bump". I am still working on perfecting the shape of the bump. Since I am not currently in this state of being (and won't be for a while!), I am going by what I've seen from other women or, on this Oprah episode, a man.

The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket which I purchased from a local online scrapbooking store, Pick of the Patch. It's a really cool site with excellent product, great customer service and a great alternative to the big box craft stores.

Congratulations to the future mommies and daddies!

A baby mini-album

A pre-made scrapbook is always a great gift especially for busy moms and moms-to-be. This is a scrapbook I made as a baby shower gift. Everything is pre-made and pre-assembled. All mom (or dad) has to do is add pictures.

Here is the mom-to-be, Jennifer:

A really cool centrepiece made from a watermelon. sized cupcakes

A diaper cake.

Such cool baby-themed ideas. I wish I'd thought of some of these things.

Last weekend, I went to the chocolate buffet at the Sutton Place Hotel with Sabrina and Denise. It was a special occasion since Denise was visiting from Toronto. Chocolate makes all things that much better.

Cherry Picking

A yearly tradition since I was a teen. Cherry picking in Osoyoos. Extremely hot, but lots of fun. The sweet cherries more than make up for the effort.

Here is a layout of my parents celebrating their bounty. You'd think these cherries would last for months, but really only for a few weeks. Cherries are just too yummy.

Mini books

Mini albums are my favorite thing to make at the moment. They make great gifts and are less daunting to create than a full scrapbook. This is a recent mini album I made for my friend, Rebecca, highlighting memorable moments of her wedding. Some photographs were taken by Kella MacPhee.

The products I used are Prima flowers, K & Co patterned paper, My Mind's Eye chipboard stickers and Die Cuts with a View quotes.

Thanks for looking!

Moments in Paradise

Summer is here!!!! Gotta love a heat wave when you're trying to do homework.

The weather reminds me of our honeymoon in Maui. We stayed in Wailea at The Fairmont Kea Lani. Jon and I had such a great time.

I made this layout as a quick snapshot of our trip. The layout was based on a Becky Higgins sketch in the July issue of Creating Keepsakes. Sadly, it was not accepted for publication.

Wish we were back in Maui...
