Reorganizing our life

Jon and I are going through a major reorganization. We've sold quite a few of our things to make room for more things. Our condo is in a state of disarray. Stuff is everywhere. We're trying to purge as much as we can. Everyday we find something that makes us wonder why we bought/received/accepted it and never used it.

As a result, my scrapboooking is on hold. It's quite all right. Once everything is in place, we'll a much less cluttered home. "Serenity now."

Before and after pics to come.

Craigslist has become my best friend.

Three years old!!

Where does time go? My goddaughter, Holle, turned three last week. It seems not that long ago when she was a little baby still learning to speak. Now, she can't stop talking!
Dora this, Dora that. Dora all the time!

She's an active pre-schooler who loves her class and her teacher. Let's hope she still likes school when she's a teen.

Happy Birthday, Holle! Love, Tita Sheila

Gallery pick of the week

goes to me! The Pick of the Patch design team picked my digital layout as this week's standout layout. I am truly honoured and surprised. I only started posting my layouts online this year, so I am grateful for the recognition.

What I did on my summer vacation...

We drove down to the Oregon Coast and spent four glorious days on the beach. Our accommodations, although not five-star, had everything we needed -- the necessities of home and an ocean front view!!! Imagine waking up every morning and seeing the Pacific Ocean. So gorgeous!!

We visited the
Oregon Coast Aquarium, discovered sea lions lying on a dock in Newport, observed seals splashing in the ocean, strolled along the beach, gazed at the sunset and, of course, searched for some good deals at the outlet mall.

The photo above is my foray into the world of digital scrapbooking. Once I selected the photos to use, this page took less than an hour to produce. I might just be a convert.

Jon was a real trooper. We did a lot of walking during our trip and he did very well. He even climbed the long spiral staircase to the top of a
lighthouse. I'm very proud of him for trying and succeeding in that climb. See photos here, here and here.

I hope we can go back to the Oregon Coast again. There's so much more to discover.
