Les Belles Cousines

Remember this post?

Here's the photo of my sister, cousins and me in a layout. It's a rare moment to get a photo like this since we are grown up and have our own busy lives.

Les Belles Cousines

Rather than use letter stickers or stamps for a title, I used Photoshop, typed the title onto the photo and printed it. Gorgeous Scenic Route patterned paper and my trusty Fiskars threading water punch were all I needed to complete the layout.

Butterflies abound.

Here is a quick glimpse of my workspace before I attached the butterflies to my card. I used the Martha Stewart butterfly punch and layered vellum (remember that stuff?!?) over patterned paper.

Then I attached the butterflies to the card with a glue dot and "fluffed" the wings to make them look as if they were in flight.

Flight - hello

The cards turned out quite spring-like.

Bring on Spring!

I am so glad spring is here. No more frosty weather.

I haven't been doing a lot of scrapbooking lately. I'm eagerly waiting for my Stampin' Up! starter kit to arrive. Once that's here, watch out!

In the meantime, here's a card that I made featuring lots of butterflies. Butterflies are hot in scrapbooking and a number of manufacturers are featuring them in their products.

On this card, I used butterfly rubons from American Crafts and a chipboard butterfly from Basic Grey.

It's a cute card and it was very easy to make.

Took the plunge

...and signed up to become a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. It will be interesting to see where this venture will take me as I go through this crafting journey.

Colleen, my demonstrator and now upline, has been very supportive of the whole process. I'm sure being a demo will be a lot of fun and I love Stampin' Up! products.

Spring is here! I made a stack of spring cards last Friday. Take a look at them here. It was a lot of fun and each card was unique.

We are all Canucks...

My cousin, Jessica, scored tickets to Sunday night's game against the Colorado Avalanche and I was her date. Woot! Woot!

Jess was determined to meet her future husband, Daniel Sedin.

I was quite content to have this view of Bobby Lu.

Our seats were awesome. The Canucks won. What a great way to cap off the weekend!

More baby cards

Baby boy blue. That was the idea behind this card. Many of our friends are having their second or third baby. I made a stack of these cards in blue just in case.

Oh Baby

I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background, the Stampin' Up! top note die and the Sizzix lion die cut. My Big Shot got a lot of use from this card.

Back into blogging action

After a bit of a break, I'm back and ready to be crafty.

In late January and March, I made a couple of trips out to the Prairies and I needed some snazzy (but cheap) luggage tags. Using the my Big Shot and the Stampin' Up! top note die, I made these cute tags. Some American Crafts rub-ons and they were ready to go.

On the reverse side, I wrote my name and address.

All that was left was to attach the tags to my luggage.

The luggage made it back with the tags securely attached. Too cute and a great way to identify your luggage from all others.
