On My Desk...

Another Wednesday! My apologies for not making it to any desks last week. I will do better this week. The fair was a blast! We were exhausted.

Well, there isn't any improvement to the tidiness of my desk, but here's a glimpse.
WOYWW 66

The patterned paper is sitting untouched from a layout I thought about and have now abandoned. The ribbon is part of that abandoned layout. Plans are to revisit this layout in a few days.

The frame is something I hope to alter either by painting or adding rub-ons. A quick project. Of course, the photos will be all about Baby Z - my fave subject!

To the right of my desk: untouched fabric panels. I have a project in mind. I'm too lazy right now to cut the fabric. Also, I have the iron-on fabric adhesive, but using it seems to labor intensive. Really, I don't iron my clothes very often, so how can I be expected to iron on glue, not once, but twice? Once to the fabric and again to the project. Is there a spray fabric adhesive or something that is easier? Suggestions would be fabulous.

And my buddy....
Baby Z & Candy Corn

Taken at the fair last week. He's stunned by the size of that candy corn.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to visit http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ for more awesome desk peeks!

Ha! Me too on the ironing. My MIL came to visit and asked for an iron. She nearly fainted when I told her I didn't own one. I have since bought one but I don't think I have ever ironed clothing with it - just fabric and cardstock!

That candy corn is MASSIVE.

Hi there, there's that gorgeous baby Z again, lovely boy! I haven't heard of any fabric spray on glue but you can bet your bottom dollar there is one out there somewhere, I'd try a search engine if I were you. If it's anything like the photo mount it's going to be expensive though, good luck with that. Thank you for sharing today:) xxx

It's hard to visit desks when you're in the middle of a fair ground! Glad you had a good time. That frame looks inviting, and Baby Z is a hoot with that giant candy corn.

I think ironing fabric to adhesive is the best way to go, unless you are going to sew around the entire thing. I wish I knew of a fabric spray adhesive. Maybe the glue manufacturers should visit WOYWW and take note!

Don't know of fabric spray adhesive but there is certainly liquid adhesive for fabric. It is EVA instead of PVA and it works. I have Jomil "What glue" but that's in the UK -don't know about Canada. Hugs BettyXXX-especially Baby Z

That's certainly some sharp looking paper there - and there are spray adhesives out there, but being in the UK, I wouldn't know what to suggest for Canada! Welcome back and TFS!

Hey, thanks for visiting my desk ;)
Your baby is such a cuttie! and I have a link for you! I looked at my bottle of spray adhesive and it says that it works with fabric! yay! it's elmer's brand. I'm hoping you will have that in canada...I'm in the US, it's not that far...anyway, here's the link to a glue guide that will help you choose the right glue for your fabric project

Baby Z isn't the only one stunned by the size of the candy corn!! Your desk looks interesting, I thought you were going to use the papers in or around the frames. How sensible to step away and come back later when it won't come together...a lesson I could use for sure!
